Her work opened the way to decipher the structure of the DNA: Rosalind Elsie Franklin's analysis of X-ray diffraction images led to the discovery of the double helix - and helped to understand who live stores the construction plans of organisms. In the tradition of the British chemist (1920 - 1958), the Max-Planck-Zentrum für Physik und Medizin has established the Rosalind-Franklin Scientist-in-Residence (RFSR) Program. It offers outstanding scientists the opportunity to perform independent research for up to one year at the institute.

Junior as well as senior scientists are invited to apply, accepted RFSR fellows will get a monthly allowance and support for their project. You will find all details here.
